Together with the entire leadership of Royalhouse Chapel, I express our deepest condolences to the family of former President Jerry John Rawlings who has moved on into glory.
He was a great leader, visionary, nationalist & friend who believed in and stood for truth. He ushered Ghana into democracy and contributed greatly to our development.
Our long-standing friendship will always be in my memory. On several occasions, he shared sweet fellowship with Royalhouse Chapel through his presence in our services and conferences. Most were unannounced, as such, demonstrating his love for our ministry. During such visits, he shared nuggets of wisdom which helped us chart a path of excellence for our organization.
Our fellowship was not just with him only, but also his wife, the former first lady, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, who at one time travelled with my wife and a contingent of our women leaders to our partner church, Conquerors Through Christ Ministries (CTCM) in South Africa for their women’s empowerment conference. Her words of wisdom transformed the lives of the women.
JJ Rawlings will always be remembered for his heroic achievements. His footprints of excellence will be upheld. Africa will always remember him as a remarkable leader.
Ghana and Africa mourn a legend.
My family and our Church will remain forever grateful that God made our paths to cross.
