It was an impressive working visit to the Western Region by the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor, accompanied by his two able deputies, Hon. George Mireku Duker, Hon. Benito Owusu Bio, and other officials of the ministry.






On Monday, 26th April 2021, I received them at the residence of the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC), it was a welcomed interaction between myself, the management of the RCC and the Lands’ Minister and his deputies











. We paid visit to the palace of Essikado-Omanhene, Nana Kobina Nketsia V. We had meetings with Regional Lands and Forest Sector Agencies, REGSEC and Chief Executives of Municipal and District Assemblies.

On Tuesday, 27th April 2021, we were in Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency where through the Mining City Radio we engaged the good people of the gold town. As part of the visit by the Hon. Lands’ Minister, we inspected Mineral Development Fund (MDF) infrastructural projects at the University of Mines and Technology.






We also visited AngloGold Ashanti – Iduapriem Mines, Community Mining Site and later had fruitful meeting with Small Scale Mining Association. All was for him to familiarize himself with various stakeholders geared towards the preserve of our natural resources.
