JOMORO YOUTH LOUDS PRESIDENT AKUFO ADDO FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF MR. CHARLES OWUSU AND AWULAE ANNOR ADJAYE(|||) TO LEAD GHANA’S PETROLEUM HUB !
A section of youth within the Petroleum Hub enclave in the Jomoro Municipality has applauded the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for appointing Mr. Charles Owusu and Awulae Annor Adjaye to lead Ghana to the realization of the Petroleum Hub initiative. In a meeting which was organized by the Assembly Members and some youth within the Petroleum Hub enclave, the youth expressed their joy to the fact that, the two individuals have played a vital role from the beginning of the project and were not expecting new faces to show up when the job comes to fruition!
“The CEO has been with us from the beginning of the project from the bushes and farms to the various engagements that were organized at both the Municipal and Regional levels. He has been so much impactful and has contributed immensely in all discussions and decision making. Sometimes when we as Hon. Assembly members meet, we advocate that one of the officials from among those who started the project must be appointed to the position and if any other person, we shall demonstrate to show our dissatisfaction. The youth through the same engagement thanked Awulae Annor Adjaye the Paramount Chief of the area who is also the Board Chairman for playing a fatherly role and releasing such a vast land for the establishment of the Petroleum Hub project.
They therefore used the engagement to plead on the Board Chairman, Awulae Annor Adjaye to foster the needs of the youth in his new capacity to alleviate poverty that has crouched the people of Jomoro and Ghana as a whole.
Speaking to Hon. Nvojo, the Assembly Member that has been with the project from the start, he said, “I’m so happy for a fulfilled dream and the appointments the President has made, it is my prayer that everyone that has been with this project from the onset is not left out so that the focus will not be missed. Everyone, for me has played a good role from our Omanhene(Awulae Annor Adjaye) and Chiefs, the Municipal Assembly and Assembly members who have been with this project till this far. Officials from the Ministry of Energy, the Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority the EPA and all other Opinion leaders that has helped to see this day. As I said earlier, I pray that everyone is incorporated going forward so that we can all smile when we finally see the factories springing up. In the coming days we as Hon. Assembly Members will pay a courtesy visit to Awulae Annor

It was all joy after the meeting as the youth felt that a new dawn has come and hopes have been revived.
The project which is to cover an area of 20,000 acres affects communities such as Nuba, Tikobo 1, Alowule, Ellenda, Nawule, Ezilinbo, Bonyere, Ndumsuazo, New and Old Kabenla Suazo, Takinta and Egbazo. It must be explained that these communities would not be resettled apart from old Kabenla Suazo, and Bokakole Nkwanta that are at the center of the project.
