On the 13th day of August, 2021 Friday, the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources & MP for Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency, Honourable George Mireku Duker together with the Municipal Chief Executive of Tarkwa Nsuaem, Honourable Benjamin Kessie, engaged 200 women at Tarkwa Parish Hall and launched an MSME Support Fund of which each woman received interest-free loan amount of Ghc500 for six months to startup or support their business.
Apparently, the MSME Support Fund for women will be used to alleviate financial hardship and promote woman empowerment in business.
In partnership for this great initiative was Tarkwa Business Resource Centre (BRC) led by Mr. Kwarteng, the Manager who pledged to support the Honourable Members’ initiative for women empowerment.
The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources assured the women of his constituency that another support will be given to 400 women in the month of November, 2021 as next batch and iterated the fact that, they should repay the amount to open doors for other beneficiaries of the Constituency.
Thus, the women of Tarkwa Nsuaem eulogized the Honourable Members for their great initiative purposely to help women in business fraternity.
Surprisingly, Honourable George Mireku Duker and Honourable Benjamin Kessie paid warm visit to good people of Tamso Compound which is a suburb of Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal with their Chiefs.
Set of street lights were donated to the Community together with ongoing ultra modern Community Centre which is almost 90% completed and Community clinic.
Good people of Tamso expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Members for their great love and support and prayed to support their development agenda.
In summary, the good people of Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency have pledged to support the Honourable Members all the time for their development agenda.
