My RESPONSE TO MR KWASI KWATENG PRO OF GES
Well said Mr. Pro. Very good in elucidating these facts for us. Two things.
One, teacher trainees have specific contents and methods being taught at the various Colleges of education, and exams are conducted at each semester and these same failed students pass those numerous exams conducted by accredited universities in this country. I said contents and methods here because a teacher is being trained to impact knowledge (which is the content in this case they are taught at the various colleges and are examined on). Methods are the pedagogy or the techniques, skill, and ways a teacher will employ to be able to impact these content(knowledge) into these kids of which trainees are examined vigorously by accredited universities in this country. May I ask you a question sir?
EVERY EXAMINATION REGIME HAS ITS RELATED CONTENT OF WHICH THE STATED OBJECTIVE WILL INFORM THE SETTING OF THE EVALUATION AT THE END OF IMPARTATION OF SUCH CONTENT, PLEASE ARE THESE TRAINEES PREVIEWED TO THESE CONTENT THE NTC EXAMINE THEM ON?
HAS IT BEEN MADE PART OF THEIR CONTENT TAUGHT IN THE VARIOUS COLLEGES?
HOW CAN YOU EXAMINE A PERSON ON A CONTENT HE/SHE IS NOT PREVIEWED TO?
Kindly answer these questions in your next release respectfully.
There are a missing link and conspiracy theories with respect to these license regimes if you speak with these trainees. They are not blockheads to fail, again before writing these licensure exams they would have written more than 26 different exams and passed.
Mr kwateng, there is a missing link and a conspiracy theory surrounding this whole licensure exam of which stakeholders must meet with immediate effect to salvage the situation.
We were all here when there were mass failures at our law schools, what didn’t we hear? Now upon dialogue and talks has it happened again?
Teachers are very happy with this licensing regime and we want it to stay but the whole thing must be looked at again in terms of the content they examine the trainees on as the basis of given them a license.
NB CONTENT THEY ARE EXAMINED ON BEFORE ISSUING THE LICENSE DOESN’T FIND ITS WAY IN THE SYLLABUS USED IN OUR SCHOOLS
Two, Mr. Kwateng you made mention in your release that now the licensing regime has made teachers have some premium, I want to draw your attention as the PRO that teachers should be receiving market premium allowance as all licensed professionals are receiving and that one deaf ear has been placed on it. As the pro of GES your voice carries a lot of wait, kindly avert the minds of your superiors on the need to give teachers MARKET PREMIUM ALLOWANCE WHICH IS BEING ENJOYED BY ALL LICENSED PROFESSIONALS.
