Ghanaian actress/producer, Yvonne Nelson has taken to her timeline to tell the first gentleman of Ghana, President Akufo-Addo to try and quickly fix the current ‘dumsor’ aka intermittent power outages crisis in Ghana.
In her tweet, she expressed disappointment in President Akufo-Addo for inflicting on Ghanaians the unbearable hardships of dumsor he spoke about and criticized during the era of his predecessor, John Dramani Mahama.
The actress, who has been nicknamed Modern Day Yaa Asantewaa by social media users charged the President to do his best to ensure that this current ‘dumsor’ ends as soon as possible.
Her full tweet reads: “Seriously!!!!! This has to stop MR PRESIDENT. #DUMSORMUSTSTOP
@NAkufoAddo NEVER did Ghanaians think you’d let us EXPERIENCE #dumsor Pouting face but here we are ….. same leader who bashed ex-president years back! Our leaders keep FAILING us!
Over the years, Yvonne Nelson has been one of the most vocal entertainers on matters of political importance so this is not shocking.
It will be recalled that back in 2015, she led a lot of Ghanaians to demonstrate against former President John Mahama when the lights situation was very terrible.
