A pregnant woman who was reported missing a week ago after she was whisked away during her morning routine walk around her house was found in Axim, a town in the Western Region on Tuesday, September 21. Read also Missing 9-month pregnant woman found under mysterious circumstances at Axim
According to Mr Simons, his wife, Josephine Panyin Simons was 9-months pregnant when she was kidnapped when he spoke to Skyy News.
The Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah speaking on the Jolly Breakfast Show (JBS) on Skyy Power 93.5FM on Wednesday, September 22, claimed the woman was not pregnant and has not also given birth in the last 6 days after doctors examined her.
She was examined by Dr Jerry Atobra at the Axim Hospital and there is no proof that she was pregnant and the family will be investigated. (The husband, victim and mother of the victim).

Even though the investigation has not proven facts, he believes the whole kidnapping incident was staged by the family for their own personal gains.
However, Mr Simons has denied the allegations labelled by the Regional Minister and has challenged him to go for his wife’s antenatal records at the Takoradi Hospital.
