“Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”
Exodus 33:13 NKJV
That was Moses praying while having a leadership crisis; not for his detractors to die, but to know God more than he already did.
This is the same Moses who encountered God at the burning bush and met God at Mount Sinai with the 10 commandments. The same man through whom mighty miracles had been done. Now he’s praying to go deeper in his knowledge of God. What a testament!
May I submit to you today, that you can never know enough about Jesus Christ. The more you know Him, the more you want to go deeper. For every stage of life you enter, you need a different encounter with God. My first encounter was enough to give me the boldness to step out into ministry and break grounds. However, to achieve what I have now, I had to seek several other divine encounters.
See what was said of Moses at the end of his life:
“But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.”
In the centre of trials, all he did was to pray to encounter God’s presence and in the end, he became one of the greatest prophets of Israel.
Chase after the presence of God. Crave to know Him more. Long after Him until you find Him. That is the key to your survival.
Pray this with me:
Lord Jesus, come into my life and my heart. Father I want to know You more; take me deeper in this walk. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
